Rusler Slow Trolling Lures

Rusler's Slow Trolling Lures have been designed and developed for the slow trolling of dead baits. Recommended speeds - between 3 & 6 knots (6-12kmh) depending on current and wind conditions. This replicates the swimming motion of excited bait fish evading predators...

Our unique design provides the easy placement of pilchards, slimy mackerel, yellowtail or garfish (NZ Piper) into the head of the Lure. Hence two size Lure options for your small or large dead bait preference. Your bait is well secured into the lure by means of the ubiquitous wooden toothpick.... Simple and effective !! Just break off the extended sections.

We have used the best quality terminal tackle components (as with all Rusler Products) in the manufacturing of these trolling Lures including S/S wire, (45Ib breaking test)  Owner hooks, (either a treble or double hook rig) with a colour flasher and multi bearing connector. Genuine NZ Paua (Abalone) strips further enhance the lure presentation and performance.

The lead weighted base assures stability of the lure during trolling avoiding twisting or spinning with a S/S front vane to promote a more natural action through the water. 

Our Lures can also be used with a Down Rigger if greater trolling depths are required.
